Therapy tailored to your needs
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the greater Philadelphia area. I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from The University of Pennsylvania after receiving a bachelor’s degree in sociology and criminology from The Ohio State University. I chose to go into social work because I believe in the power of psychotherapy and have seen the relief that people can get from counseling. Being a social worker helps me take a realistic understanding of how social and environmental factors, along with interpersonal relationships can effect our mood and emotions. In my practice, I utilize an integrative approach to therapy in order to meet my clients individual needs because I believe that each person is unique in their own struggles and therapy should be tailored to each individual.
By using CBT, psychodynamic, and solution focused therapy, I am able to help address issues like anxiety, depression, mood disorders and interpersonal problems.
I am also trained in Exposure and Relapse Prevention Therapy for OCD and Prolonged Exposure therapy for PTSD; both evidence based practices for these disorders.
Counseling can be a big step for many people, so in my practice I make sure to use a trauma-informed approach to create a safe space where one can talk without any fear of judgement. I accept all clients regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
